It seats fully and feels correct. This is the single most common silent audio fault.
- shortThe plug's long sleeve covers the jack's ring as well as its sleeve, so the ring is shorted to ground. On a stereo output the right channel is grounded; on a balanced output the cold leg is grounded and the signal drops about 6 dB.
